While the goal sounds simple, the execution is anything but. Players must navigate a procedurally generated layout, survive ambushes, and locate a well-hidden chest containing the tools. It’s an early test of map awareness, survival instinct, and preparation.
Navigating the Abandoned Foundry
To access the Foundry, progress through Act 1 until the path opens. Once inside, look for signs that point to your objective—glowing forge equipment, piles of broken machinery, and uniquely shaped rooms are visual cues that help guide you.
Enemies in the Foundry don’t go down easily. Expect to POE2 Currency be ambushed as you explore. These encounters can be brutal if you’re under-leveled or using outdated gear. This is where pre-quest preparation matters most.
Renly’s Tools are hidden in a chest that’s often obscured or placed behind destructible terrain. Be thorough. Check corners, break suspicious objects, and explore alternate paths. Don’t rush through—taking your time increases your chances of finding the chest without missing key environmental clues.
Surviving the Final Ambush
Once you find the chest, be ready for one last ambush. Enemies will attempt to overwhelm you just as you’re claiming your reward. A well-upgraded character will be able to deal with this final challenge more effectively.
Before entering the Foundry, use your POE 2 currency to enhance both offensive and defensive capabilities. Look for armor with elemental resistances and weapons that boost your primary skills. If your current gear isn’t cutting it, trade currency items for poe 2 trade better equipment on the in-game market.
